Simple Energy has launched its new electric scooter, the Simple Ultra, in India. The scooter is priced at Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in the premium EV segment.

The company has also started deliveries of the model, which was unveiled earlier this year. With this launch, Simple Energy is focusing on riders who want both performance and long range.

The biggest highlight of the scooter is its 400 km range, making it one of the longest-range electric scooters currently available in India. It competes with models like the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450 Apex and TVS iQube ST.

Powering the Ultra is a 6.5 kWh battery pack with a dual-battery setup. The scooter delivers strong performance with a top speed of 115 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds.

Charging is also quick. The scooter supports fast charging from 0 to 80% in around 2 hours and 15 minutes. It can add about 1.5 km of range per minute during fast charging.

The Ultra comes with several advanced features. It gets multiple riding modes like Eco, Ride and Sonic, along with traction control for better safety. A 7-inch touchscreen display offers navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and OTA updates.

Other features include cruise control, reverse assist, hill hold and alerts for theft or towing. These add to daily convenience and safety.

On the hardware side, the scooter is built on a strong chassis with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. It gets disc brakes at both ends and 12-inch wheels. It also offers good practicality with 26 litres of storage space.

Simple Energy is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km, along with extended warranty options for the battery and motor.

Deliveries are already underway, and the scooter is available through the company’s dealerships and online platform. With this launch, Simple Energy is aiming to strengthen its position in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market.
